NAME
mktrue check — report whether this repository is still true to the method
SYNOPSIS
mktrue check [--target <name>] [--bench <dir>]
mktrue check --siblings [--json]
DESCRIPTION
check is read-only. It reports what has drifted: the kit version behind, kit-owned files edited without a pin, missing rules sections, budgets exceeded, missing permission rules, and ignore lines that must exist. Each finding says why it matters and how to fix it.
Every repository new makes runs it in CI on every push.
--siblings also reads each repository answers.siblings names, at its base branch, through local git only: no fetch, no checkout, no write. The usual checks run first, and the exit is the worse of the two. --json prints that report alone.
OPTIONS
--siblings- Also compare each repository answers.siblings names with this one, through local git.
--json- With
--siblings, print the report as JSON, and nothing else. --target <name>- The agent target to render for. The default is claude-code.
--bench <dir>- The kit to render from. The default is the installed kit.
--help- Print the usage of every command.
EXIT STATUS
| 0 | true: nothing has drifted. |
| 1 | findings: at least one, each printed with why and fix. With --siblings, also any divergence. |
| 3 | environment: with --siblings, a listed sibling could not be read. |
